Alotho you can't play GBA games on it, they Japanese have made it with bigger screens. So why should you sell your old DS or DS lite to get a DSi? Well, Nintendo set itself the task of making itself lighter anbd thinner, so the company removed the GBA slot as it took up too much room. Before you ask, no, you will not be able to play gba GAMES ON HIS CONSOLE. Boo! But nintendo also wanted to make the screens bigger, so this new console has two 3.25 inch screens that will bring your games to life slightly larger. Hooray! But heres the really cool thing about the new console. Theres a new carmera on it! Nintendo isn't going for a mobile phone or a Digital Camera market though, as it's only a 0.3 megapixel camera. It's not meant for holiday snaps, it's more for having fun with.
THERE ARE 11 TYPES OF SPECIAL CAMERA LENSES built in on the softwaremeaning you can colour portions of pictures, do black and white or paint graffiti. It will even recognise human faces and compare them with a face recognision engine.Nintendo is hoping that kids willlove it as their first camera and teens will want to take it to store away their friends faces or use it as a photo-diary.
THERES ALSO NOW AN AUDIO PLAYER BUILT IN THE CONSOLE, but it isn't ,eant to be an MP3 player (lthough it can play music in AAC format), it's all about havin fun with audio. You can speed it up, slow it down and change the pitch - just mess around and have fun! Sounds and photosare stored on a standard sd card like a digital camera, so you can have whataaaaever storage space you like.
TO MAKE THIS NEW CONSOLE YOU OWN, YOU CAN DOWNLOAD and store new DSi software for customizing the console. There is a new Nitendo Point prepaid card that will allow you to download software on the DSi or the wii replacing thee Wii points cards that are allready around. Nintendo has made sure that your first downloads will be free of charge as well! The DSi browser gives you Wi-Fi access to the internet while moving Notepad is a Notepad that lets you make animations with sound effects and exchange them with mates online.
NINTENDO HAS BIG PLANS TO PUSH THE ONLINE CAPABILITIES OF THIS NEW DS, as in Japan thr company has hooked up with McDonald's to create a DS station pod the will enable people to play around with the consloe while having a burger.
